Musical scales are an organised sequence of notes ordered by fundamental pitch or frequency. For example: C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C ( the major scale).
Major Scale
The sequence to finding any major scale is:
Whole step, whole step, half step, whole step, whole step, whole step, half step.
Using this sequence of you can find all the notes to any major scale.

(Tone = Whole step, Semitone = Half step).
Natural Minor Scale
The natural minor scale sequence is another basic but fundamental scale to know. Its sequence is:
Whole step, half step, whole step, whole step, half step, whole step, whole step.
So if we use the root note on this sequence we will get the note to the natural minor scale. Which is:
C, D, D#, F, G, G#, A#, C.
There are many different scales all with their own unique sequence of notes that make their scale have specific characteristics. The scales we just discussed are called the Natural scales because they are the most basic and primitive scales in music study. The difference in these scales are the third, sixth and seventh degree. In the major scale these degrees are major interval which is why we call it the major scale, and in the minor scale these degrees are minor intervals which is why we call it the minor scale.
